The Animated Jack Sparrow 10″ Maquette marks another character eager to jump the continuity boundary and join the increasingly versatile ranks of the Animated. Mounted to a base of rankled weatherworn wooden planks a more caricature Jack Sparrow is steeped in tattered pirate regalia sash bandoleer cuffed boots eye liner. Formerly the captain of the Black Pearl Sparrow was betrayed by his first mate when he mistakenly divulged the location of the Chest of Cortez. The first mate Barbossa led a mutiny and Jack was stranded on an island with a single-shot pistol. Luckily for Sparrow the Chest of Cortez turned out to be filled with cursed golden coins and Barbossa and his followers were transformed into zombified skeletons shortly after taking possession. Eventually Sparrow crossed paths with Barbossa again finally getting the chance to use the single shot he?d reserved for the occasion. Sparrow managed to take possession of the Pearl yet again—just in time to be called upon by the monstrous Davy Jones in regards to the pact Sparrow had made thirteen years earlier to take command of the Black Pearl in the first place.
