In scale with Marvel Legends FF Classics Series 2 version of the Thing is a somewhat alternate version. Of note is the auspicious lack of musculature. The distinctive brow ridge has been diminished. The neck is more prominent the shoulders narrower and sloped and the overall texture looks a little bit more like mud than rock. He?s wearing blue tights and boots with his FF emblem pinned to the side of his belt. Overall this version of the Thing resembles the one from the Fantastic Four movie which might ostensibly be the whole reason behind these arbitrary changes in appearance. The Thing?s accident with the cosmic rays at first gave him a more shapeless and molten appearance with slightly lesser consistency and then eventually gave him a durable orange hide comprised of living rock impervious to most types of damage. Over the years amidst evolving and altering stages of mutation as the long-term effects of the cosmic rays have solidified the Thing?s already impressive strength has increased substantially eventually putting him into the Hulk bracket.
