Thrown back all the way to AD 1300 with all the primitive screwheads Ash sets out on a quest to find the Necronomicon which is capable of sending him to back to his own time and breaking the power of the Deadites. Along the way Ash runs afoul of an evil unseen essence more or less the same thing that chases him through the woods in Evil Dead 2 at which point he decides to hole up in a haunted windmill for a while. While he?s there he?s attacked by miniature evil clones of himself. One of the clones takes a dive down his throat and then reemerges as a fully grown attached twin. Ash finally fights his way free and is then forced to brawl with doppelganger Evil Ash. Ash finally puts his shotgun to work then dismembers evil Ash and buries him. Later when Ash goes to retrieve the Necronomicon choosing two booby-trapped copies first he of course forgets the magic words used to enable the removal of the book from its cradle. Trying to BS his way through it he takes the book and inadvertently gives the Deadites complete dominion. The graveyard erupts and graves are opened. A Deadite army is rallied and Evil Ash now a rotted corpse rises from the grave to lead the Deadites and recover the Necronomicon. As the Deadite general Evil Ash is mutilated so that he no longer really resembles the real Ash but he still wears the duplicates of Ash?s clothes beneath his tattered red cloak and ghoulish Deadite armor. This Sideshow version looks just like the guy rotted-yellow slack-jawed armed with his Deadite broadsword. Ready to storm the castle work his way up along the battlements and recover the Book of the Dead.

The Premium Format Ash Figure captures Bruce Campbell in a signature pose standing with his boomstick raised above his head and chainsaw-hand at the ready. The figure is cast in high-quality polystone and dressed in real fabric clothing complete with his chest rig & holster. Ash stands over 20″ tall atop a detailed display base complete with Deadite debris and is sure to be the centerpiece of your Army of Darkness collection.
“Name’s Ash. Housewares.”
In Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 Ash found himself terrorized by a bevy of downright unfriendly dead critters and the story is no different in Army of Darkness except there are a LOT more of them. Ash has been time-warped to a medieval castle where he is forced to fight two deadly Deadites to prove his worth to the locals and maybe survive a little longer. After earning their trust Ash embarks on a quest to retrieve the Necronomicon the Book of the Dead. If he recites the right words while in possession of the Necronomicon it will allow him to return to his own time and dispel the evil of the Deadites.
Unfortunately for Ash he fumbles those simple magical words and unleashes the entire Army of the Dead. Now Ash must lead his medieval friends in a battle against the forces lead by his evil couterpart Evil Ash and his army of skeletal warriors. Employing 20th century tactics a chainsaw mounted to his wrist his boomstick and just enough smart-ass commentary can Ash save the day and get back home?
